I forgot to post anything about the outcome of the season for my sad addiction.
I guess this was caused by my belief that I am a jinx for my team but also an excuse to wait for the availability of the post season open top bus tour of the team. Is this common in other countries or one of those peculiarly British things I wonder?
Anyway joy knows no bounds because as well as thumping Wigan on the last day of the season 8-0 we went on to win the FA Cup final against Portsmouth. Many commentators were puzzled as to why we only managed to do this by a single goal but I can now reveal that I watched the match live until the point where Portsmouth were awarded a penalty. At this point I turned off the TV Petr Cech saved the kick and Didier Drogba went on to score that winning goal thus bringing us the Double for the first time in our clubs history.
